Toyota, Hyundai sales sink as virus crimps demand

April deliveries fell 54 percent at Toyota Motor, 39 percent at Hyundai and 45 percent at Mazda. While the outbreak upended  volume across the industry -- analysts project U.S. new-vehicle sales skidded 50 to 55 percent -- Hyundai credited the "ingenuity of our dealers" and "robust customer assistance programs” for helping mitigate the impact.
