Kirk Kerkorian -- investor who changed Chrysler, prodded GM -- dies at 98

Kirk Kerkorian, the billionaire casino mogul who twice attempted takeovers of Chrysler and in 2006 tried to fashion a global alliance between General Motors and Nissan-Renault, died Monday in Los Angeles.
