GM, Ford, Nissan sales slip; FCA gains 3.1%

GM, Ford and Nissan posted lower August U.S. sales in what is expected to be a rare down month for the industry since the 2008-09 market collapse. GM's August volume slipped 5.2 percent and Ford fell 8.8 percent, while Nissan dipped 6.5 percent.
