U.S. House committee schedules Dec. 1 hearing on VW settlement

Volkswagen's plans to spend some $2 billion on zero-emission vehicle projects to remedy violations stemming from its emissions cheating scandal will come under scrutiny in a congressional oversight hearing next week.
