Mercedes U.S. chief Cannon to leave Jan. 1; Dietmar Exler named successor

Mercedes Benz USA CEO Steve Cannon is leaving the automaker to head the company that owns the Atlanta Falcons, the automaker said today. Dietmar Exler, 47, will become CEO of Mercedes Benz USA effective Jan. 1, Mercedes said in a statement.
