Workers strike steering supplier Nexteer after rejecting tentative UAW deal

UAW members at Nexteer Automotive's plant north of Detroit walked off the job today after overwhelmingly shooting down a tentative contract on Sunday. UAW Local 699 announced the strike at the Saginaw, Mich.
