How Bob Lutz took aim at the Cherokee

Jeep, now celebrating its 75th anniversary, has spawned many a competitor, though few have been as successful as the Ford Explorer. And it was future Chrysler guy Bob Lutz who put Ford hot on the trail of the then-new XJ Cherokee in the 1980s.
