American Axle agrees to buy Metaldyne in $3.3 billion deal

Longtime drivetrain supplier American Axle and Manufacturing said today it agreed to acquire Metaldyne Performance Group for $3.3 billion in cash, stock and debt assumption. The deal is expected to close during the first half of 2017.
