VW packs e-Golf with bigger battery, more range for 2017

VW's 2017 e-Golf receives a new 36 kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack, compared to 24 kWh in the outgoing model. The bigger battery boosts driving range to up to 124 miles on a charge, compared to 83 miles on the 2016 model.
